On April 14, 2003 at approximately 12:17PM, fire struck an apartment building at 13 Carter Lane in Kiryas Joel, Monroe, NY. The fire destroyed three apartments and left the other two with heavy smoke and water damage. Upon arrival, Kiryas Joel firefighters were met with flames shooting through the front of the building. Monroe Fire Department was immediately summoned. Mutual aid from seven neighboring companies were required to control the blaze. Cause is undetermined |
